Terms of Service
The contract for Scrap Host subscriptions, billing, service operation, saves, cancellation, and responsibility.
Effective 24 July 2026
Scrap Host is a trade name of Computerhulp Nick, a Dutch sole proprietorship registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 96739266. These Terms apply to consumers and businesses ordering Scrap Mechanic server hosting from us. A contracting customer must be at least 18 years old.
Contact support@scraphost.com for service questions. Our address and VAT number appear at the end of this document.
Your agreement begins when we accept your online order. Before payment, we show the selected service, total monthly price including VAT where applicable, renewal period, start choice, and these Terms. You must actively accept the Terms. We record the version and time of acceptance and send an order confirmation that you can keep.
The subscription runs month to month and renews automatically until cancelled. Obvious pricing or description mistakes do not bind us where you knew or reasonably should have known they were mistakes.
Your service includes the resources, storage, features, region, and other specifications shown at checkout and recorded in your order confirmation. Infrastructure may be shared and we may manage resources reasonably to protect stability and other customers.
You need a valid Steam account and any game rights required by Valve or Axolot Games. Scrap Host is independent from and is not endorsed by Valve or Axolot Games. Steam, the game, Workshop items, and third-party networks may change or become unavailable independently of us.
The price, billing interval, included service, and applicable VAT are shown at checkout and recorded in your order confirmation. Payments and recurring mandates are handled by Mollie. Each billing period is charged in advance.
A pending or open payment is not a failed payment. When an amount that is due is confirmed as failed or expired, we may suspend and gracefully archive the server immediately. We notify you and provide a way to pay. If payment is not restored within 14 days, we terminate the subscription. Statutory notice rules apply before consumer collection costs are added.
You can cancel online at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not end an already-paid period. The server remains available through the paid-through date and no unused part is refunded, except under the withdrawal rules or mandatory law.
At the paid-through date we stop and archive the server. Server data and saves are scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later. Download anything you want to keep before that deadline.
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw without giving a reason for 14 days after the agreement is made. Use our clearly visible online withdrawal function, email support@scraphost.com, or send the model statement shown on that page.
If you expressly ask us to start during the withdrawal period, you owe a proportionate amount for service delivered before withdrawal. We refund the remainder through the original payment method within 14 days. If you choose delayed start and withdraw before service starts, we refund the full amount.
We provide the service on a best-effort basis and do not offer a formal uptime SLA. Planned or emergency maintenance, security work, capacity management, attacks, or third-party failures may interrupt service. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights when the digital service does not conform to the agreement.
We may change the packages, specifications, and prices offered for new orders without notifying existing customers because those changes do not alter an existing subscription. For an existing subscription, we give at least 30 days’ durable notice of a price increase or material adverse change and allow cancellation before it takes effect. We may also change these Terms for legal, security, provider, technical, or cost reasons. Mandatory rights concerning materially negative digital-service changes remain available.
Scheduled versions are normally made every 10 minutes. We keep roughly every 10-minute version for 4 hours, every 30-minute version for the rest of the first day, hourly versions for the first week, 4-hour versions for the first month, and weekly versions afterwards while the subscription is active. Manual uploads, manual snapshots, pre-edit versions, and final-stop versions are preserved while active.
This schedule is a service target, not an absolute guarantee. Outages, maintenance, corrupted game data, storage failures, or circumstances outside reasonable control may delay or prevent a backup. Keep your own downloadable copy of any irreplaceable world.
You remain the owner of your saves and other content. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, back up, process, and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure, and administer the service. You confirm that you may lawfully use and upload the relevant saves, mods, names, and other material.
Protect your Steam account, verified email, TOTP device, and recovery codes. You are responsible for authorised players and activity through your account unless the cause is attributable to us. Tell us promptly about suspected compromise.
You and your players must comply with the Acceptable Use and Abuse Policy. We may restrict or suspend service immediately for urgent security threats, unlawful conduct, attacks, binding legal orders, or failed payment. For an ordinary remediable breach, we normally give notice and a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Where legally permitted, we explain content decisions and offer an appeal.
Consumers keep all rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing excludes liability for deliberate wrongdoing, deliberate recklessness by management, death or personal injury, or another liability that cannot legally be excluded.
For business customers, liability for indirect loss—including lost profit, lost revenue, missed savings, reputational loss, business interruption, and claims from their customers—is excluded as far as the law permits. Liability for ordinary proven direct loss is limited to the fees actually paid for the affected service during the three months before the event. Related events count as one event. Each party must take reasonable steps to limit loss.
Send complaints to support@scraphost.com. We will acknowledge and investigate them within a reasonable time. Dutch law applies. Consumers also retain mandatory protections of their country of residence and may use any court that mandatory law makes available to them.
If a provision is invalid, the remainder stays effective. Neither party is responsible for failure caused by a genuine event outside reasonable control, but this does not excuse failures that reasonable preventive measures should have avoided.
